Level 1 Start

Simple English. Short sentences. A good place to begin.

This is the first Libraverio level. It is the easiest one.

The words are simple. The sentences are short. Each story tells you one thing at a time.

You can listen. You can read along. You can listen again. Nothing here goes too fast.

What Level 1 Start Sounds Like

The boy has a dog. The dog likes to run. They play in the park.

Good For

  • New English learners
  • Young children
  • Listening for the first time
  • Anyone who wants slow, clear English

Stories at This Level

Every Level 1 Start story has a video you can watch and a page you can read.

Listen first. Then read the words. Then listen one more time.

Libraverio books, collections, and printed art from this level will appear here as we make them.

When Level 1 Feels Easy

If you understand the story without working hard, try Level 2 Build.

If the words feel fast, stay here and listen again. That is not a problem. That is practice.

For Parents and Teachers

Level 1 Start uses our most controlled language: high-frequency vocabulary, short declarative sentences, one idea per sentence, and heavy context support.

Because the levels describe language rather than age, an adult beginner and a young child can both use Level 1 without either one being talked down to.

CEFR: A1-A2

The right level is the one that keeps you listening.
